A FUNCTIONAL BACKPACK DEVELOPED BY THE JAPAN NATIONAL BLIND FOOTBALL TEAM
We wanted to provide an answer to the question "what is a user-friendly bag for people who are blind or visually impaired?"
The Japan national blind football team will participate in the Tokyo Paralympic Games. As an official supplier to the team, MOTHERHOUSE has developed an original backpack with special functions to support the team's success.
MULTIFUNCTIONAL POCKETS THAT ALLOW INTUITIVE USABILITY
- Pockets open wide on each side of the front of the bag which allows for easy internal access while carrying the bag with one shoulder strap on.
-Slit pocket on the bottom has a loop structure to insert a white cane* just by touch, or can also hold a telescopic umbrella or water bottle.
- Bag is designed to sink slightly when contents are inside, and its opening is specially constructed to prevent items from falling out.
*White cane: A white-colored cane used by people who are blind or visually impaired when walking"
A VERSATILE DESIGN, USEFUL FOR VARIOUS OCCASIONS
Sporty yet sophisticated appearance with leather straps, handles, and belts, making the bag perfect for sports activities as well as casual walks around town.
DIRT RESISTANT AND A PERFECT FIT WHEN WORN
"When developing this bag, we learned that the blind or visually impaired are often worried that their bags may be dirty without them knowing."
As a result, we chose polycarbonate, one of the most durable forms of polyurethane (PU leather), for the body of the bag as it is dirt-resistant and easy to clean. This material is also soft, flexible, and fits your body perfectly when worn.
