The organically arched gusset creates a structural beauty that allows for smooth zipper opening and closing. The aim was to create a structural beauty through the curves of the gusset
When carrying a tote on your shoulder, the gusset often becomes the face of the bag. This idea inspired the design of the Flyarch Tote. Beginning with the elegant curves of the gusset, we refined the proportions of the front, the handle and the base leather to create a sense of harmony. The result is a silhouette that feels balanced from every angle, graceful from the front and sophisticated from the side.
The gusset arches inwards in an organic shape. When viewed from the side, the base of the zipper has a hidden symmetrical curve that resembles a butterfly spreading its wings. This curve, which was developed after much trial and error, prevents interference between the zipper and the gusset, allowing for smooth opening and closing.
