"Mirroring the serene curve of a floating moon, this soft and lightweight 2-way tote bag seamlessly integrates into your everyday life with its elegant, moon-shaped design."
This soft and lightweight tote bag features a charming moon-like shape, evoking the serenity of a moonlit night. The curved rope along the gusset gently conforms to your body, while the individually hand-woven mesh handles add a distinctive design accent. Versatile in use, it can be worn as a shoulder bag, allowing you to adapt your style to either elegant or active occasions. Sized to accommodate a B5 notebook or a 500ml plastic bottle, it’s ideal for both commuting and holidays.
"A soft and plush silhouette, crafted to showcase the exceptional quality of the material."

Beautiful whether worn over the shoulder or carried in front, with a handcrafted mesh handle that showcases artisanal skill
The handle, a key design feature, is meticulously hand-braided from individual leather ropes. Through careful experimentation with the braiding technique and the number of ropes, we kept it from becoming bulky while enhancing both the bag’s aesthetic appeal and comfort on the shoulder. Every detail is thoughtfully crafted so that even when the handle falls forward, it creates a visually striking silhouette.
A versatile 2-way design, elegant yet ready for action
The removable shoulder strap lets you wear the bag over the shoulder or crossbody. Enjoy styling it to suit your mood and the day’s needs.

Leather with a naturally textured grain, exuding refined elegance

Big Milling Leather” captivates with its natural grain that cannot be replicated by embossing. By deliberately leaving the subtle textures on the surface, each piece becomes uniquely individual, enriching the character of the bag. Enjoy the depth and personality that develop beautifully over time. Please note: grain patterns may vary.

Our philosophy
Showcasing the potential of developing countries
Motherhouse began in Japan with a simple belief: true beauty starts where things are made.
In 2006, founder Eriko Yamaguchi set out from Bangladesh to build a world-class brand that uplifts people and materials at their source. The idea was simple, to design with respect, create with care and connect people through products made to last.
